Beethoven: The Sonatas for Piano and Violin (4CD), performed by David Oistrakh (violin) and Lev Oborin (piano). This gem is a once in a lifetime find - it has long been out of print. Overall I would describe the boxset as being in good condition. When these discs were new (as with many boxsets from this era) they were packed with a brown foam material between the discs. Sadly over time, if not removed, the foam can adhere to the discs irreversibly and crystallise. This has happened to the front, printed (non-playing side) to all discs. On one of the discs there is a small amount on the playing side.

There are some light surface scratches on all discs. I have carefully and meticulously cleaned all discs, however residue does remain.

I have personally tested each disc and they play FLAWLESSLY. The damage is only superficial. I guarantee you will not be disappointed by this gem of a recording. The booklet and outer sleeve are also in very good condition. Theres a bit of natural shelf wear.
