This is the first of three box sets reissuing legendary Mercury Living Presence recordings which have been praised by The Absolute Sound and many other publications for good reason. Although Mercury did not have the biggest names like RCA had at the time, their conductors and soloists did not take a back seat to others. Mercury had conductors like Dorati, Paray, and Fennell.

Their soloists included Janis, Bachauer, Szering, and Starker. This set and the other volumes are out of print and are in high demand. According to Discogs, this set is from Korean. On the box it states the discs were made in Germany. The box contains 51 CD's, a 66 page booklet in English and a 34 page booklet in Korean. As far as I understand it, this set is the same as the European based set with the addition of the Korean booklet. There could be minor variations in the printing on the discs.

As stated, this set is sealed. The shrink has some spots where it doesn't cover the box completely. There is a half inch square tear in the yellow label in the front. The corners of the box are sharp.
