His monumental 54-CD box set from the renowned German label Hänssler Classic presents the essential works of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, one of the most important and influential composers of the 18th century. Bach, the second surviving son of Johann Sebastian Bach and Maria Barbara, was a celebrated composer, keyboard virtuoso, and music theorist. He is considered the leading representative of the North German Empfindsamer Stil ("sensitive style"), known for its expressive, emotional musical language.

At the heart of this collection is Anna Maria Markovina's complete recording of C. Bach's solo keyboard works, released in celebration of the composer's 300th birthday.

Markovina spent over a decade researching and preparing for this acclaimed recording project, which includes numerous world premiere recordings. Her performance offers a rich and nuanced interpretation on the modern piano, shedding new light on Bach's unique harmonic language, sudden modulations, and speech-like phrasing.
