I remember this set coming out and it being quite big news at the time, I drooled over it at my local music emporium in Haverfordwest. But alas there was no way I could afford as a young graduate and it was many years until I finally came across this particular copy. Whilst in my ownership it has remained mostly stored inside its outer box (which bears a very nice sketch of the composer), taking pride of place in my music room. The set is excellent condition and looks to have been very rarely played by its previous owner. The outer box is in excellent shape, as are all the CDs. The only'flaws' worth pointing out are that the spines have caught the sun and lost a little bit of colour as a result, though this does not detract from the overall appearance. The perspex shelf, which I thought was a lovely touch by DG, is in excellent shape, save for a tiny hairline on the underside panel (please see photo). There is a good deal of information on this box set online, if you are looking for all the interpreters. Needless to say it features outstanding performances throughout.
