In celebration of Schumann's 200th anniversary, Deutsche Grammophon released a limited edition 35-CD box set that encompasses almost all of the composer's works (apart from works that remain unrecorded, some of the missing lieder can be found on Hyperion releases). The recordings featured in the set include John Eliot Gardiner and the ORR's Symphonies cycle, Ashkenazy, Pollini and Eschenbach playing the solo and orchestral piano works, Fischer-Dieskau and Edith Mather in the Lieder, and the Hagen Quartett, Beaux-Arts Trio, Martha Argerich and Gidon Kremer in various chamber works. A treasure trove of Schumann's music.
